Everyone has a story...
Hear the Hungry’s goal is to collect as many stories as possible of individuals who have ever experienced hunger. Through different vehicles of multi-media, Hear the Hungry is building a database of audio, visual and written testimonies of people from all around the world who want their story to be heard. These stories will be organized around individually themed projects. In addition, each individual project will produce a documentary highlighting the stories collected.
Hunger could mean anything from physical hunger for food, to hunger for a more just and humane society. By collecting audio, video, and written testimonies, our goal is to humanize those facing hunger, spread awareness of issues of hunger on our planet, and to give a voice to the voiceless!
Hear the Hungry plans on creating its own advocacy force that will fight for social justice issues surrounding hunger in its current program area. We want to empower those battling hunger to fight for their rights. But most of all, Hear the Hungry wants to inspire others to find humanity in their society.
